However, the Dragon Bone Smasher is a much better option for that path. However, for a Faith-based build, this weapon can be upgraded to a Blessed one that scales with Faith. It feels like the Demon's Souls Claymore has a bit more reach than the other renditions in the series. The combination of reach and swing speed makes for a really awesome weapon, although the moveset is a little bit less versatile than you might expect if you've used it in the other Souls games. Claymore can go Crushing and Blessed but flamberge cant. Flamberge can go Sharp and Crescent but Claymore cant. The damage from a Sharp Flamberge is mediocre when compared to that of a Crushing Claymore, massive difference when 2h and cursed. So if you're going mix of STR and DEX, look at quality. Crushing for STR. Sharp for DEX.
